Diminuendo doesn't end

I downloaded the .mscz file of this arrangement: https://musescore.com/user/24971961/scores/7686230
While it plays well online, my local 4.2.1 and 4.3 nightly (Linux AppImage) play diminuendo (dim.) in measures like 7,9 incorrectly: they sound to start earlier, and keep diminuendo until the piano symbol is met in measure 11. So 5=6>7>8>9>10↑11.
Also, the crescendo in measures 18..20 isn't smooth, it sounds to crescendo one measure late.
Same when exporting the sheet to .mp3.

It's hard to tell because this is an MU3 file. It's also hard to tell if the online sound is actually a performance of this score. I'm not sure if all the dims. are the proper notation in this case. As for the cresc in measure 18, I deleted it and re-entered and it plays correctly. Not unusual.

That might be something with the conversion of the crescendo, then. Thanks for the tip.
I saved the file as mu4, tried to delete and add the dims, and that didn't change anything. The local rendering sounds very similar to the online version, except those nuances.

I'm not certain that the online version is playing the dims. MU4 just stacks them up so that gradually the sound is very soft. I just dug out an old computer that has MU3 on it. If I get a chance, I'll load the score.
