How do i choose between types of rests?
It wont let me choose which type and its gonna screw up the entire thing

Select the duration of rests in the same way as selecting the duration of a note and then enter the rest with keyboard shortcut 0.

And if you screw up, CTRL+Z will undo the last thing you did,
