Sound engine interfering with a VST?

I have an acoustic kit converted to an E-Kit. I'm using Addictive Drums for a standalone VST. Been using the e_kit for a while now. The kit is mapped to the VST. No issues.

I run Musescore 3.6.2 for a very long time and have no issue with it.. very versatile. Running exercises, for some reason I was getting different sounds from my hihat, and 2 floor toms. Couldn't figure was this was happening. I rebooted my MacStudio, started the drum module and VST. No issues with sound.

I ran musescore 3.62 again. I now how the symptoms as before. Musescore is somehow creating the sounds for the floor toms and hihat.

Does this make any sense?
