Musescore Functions Constantly Being Flagged

• May 30, 2024 - 16:01

Does anyone else have issues with Musescore constantly being flagged as suspicious?

Perhaps it's something to do with its host location, but I get notifications several times a day from my Internet Provider's app that it's blocking "known malicious IP addresses" which it says are coming from the Musescore Hub app.

Then this morning I get a dozen notifications from my bank that my subscription payment (which I do willingly pay for) was flagged on my credit card.

I've been a loyal user to Musescore for many years. Sure I'm not fond of the fact that we have to pay now for features that were once free, but I don't have reason to believe they're up to any dirty work.

Does anyone know why this may be happening? The credit card thing can be explained, but are there potential security breaches happening in the Musescore Hub app that are allowing "malicious IPs" from several different countries to access my PC?

All of these are strictly about musescore.com. You made no mention originally of the MuseScore application. Here at musescore.org, we will not be able to help with that. That's why I provided you with those links: so that, in the future, you can better determine whether a given problem should be resolved there or here.

If you are also having problems with the locally installed MuseScore application, please identify your OS and the version of MuseScore you have installed, as well as a detailed (!!!) description of what errors/messages you get, in what circumstances.
