Guitar Tabs Disappeared

A couple months ago, I created a score in MuseScore 4. I used a treble clef staff for the electric guitar, and I created a linked staff for tablature. At the time, I printed a copy with both staves as a .pdf (a bit of proof that I am not crazy). Now I want to add to the score, and when I open the .mscz file, I see the treble clef staff but not the tabs. I had to do a fair amount of customization to the tab staff last time to get the notes to show on the correct strings. I am concerned that if I try to link a new staff, it will forget all those customizations. Has this happened to anyone else? Sorry if the answer should be obvious, but I don't see it. Thanks!
