staccato note entry
this may have already been asked and answered but i didn't see it. in the new MS4 when you enter a note and add staccato or accent or other markings and then come back to enter more notes later on, unless you intentionally click on a note or rest that does not contain a marking, MS4 will default your note entry to whatever note with marking you last entered or last touched to modify. is there a way this can be toggled OFF. it is extremely annoying and does not save any time in note entry. if you have just entered a long stream of notes or have to go back and select and modify it can really increase your keystrokes and workload and the muse is passed and you are stuck. some musicians may like it so, but i find this process is more difficult. make it a toggle please.
no i don't have a screenshot or a file to upload. if you haven't experienced this you wouldn't understand it if i sent a picture.

Oh, I understand it perfectly. If you go back and just hit note entry, of course the last type of note you entered is going to come up. What is so hard about clicking where you want the next note to go, first? For all of us, there is a difference between how we wish the software worked and how it actually works.
Or you haven't done a good job of describing your issue.
If you enter a bunch incorrectly:
1. Turn off note entry (N)
2. Select all of the incorrect notes
3. Use the shortcut to toggle: (defaults below)
--- staccato: [shift] + [s]
--- accent: [shift] + [v]
Now you don't have to delete you notes, or tediously delete markings if you put them in by accident.
