Navigator

Navigator in MS3 uses the slide control (below the long navigator bar and a different style than MS 4) to quickly scan the entirety of a long score by simply moving the small bar inside the longer bar back and forth with NO CONNECTION TO THE VIEWING WINDOW!
The small blue viewing window can actually disappear until you click on the part of score you want to work on and then conveniently returns
The manual in MS4 claims that MS4 Navigator works much the same as MS3

In MS4: the slide (different style and on top) is frustratingly linked to the viewing box and does not allow quick scanning and movement back and forth inside the score. Can I set MS4 navigator to work like MS3?
