Expression/Metronome marking
Can I use a tempo marking such as Allegro and also put a specific BPM on my score? I need to do this because Allegro was slower in the 19th century than it is now.

You can either
a) add a tempo marking from the palette and edit it to include both a tempo "equation" and a tempo description e.g. Allegro and select "Follow written tempo" in its properties
or
b) add just a tempo description and specify BPM in the "Override written tempo" field in properties with "Follow written tempo" deselected.
