Playback extremely high pitched and slowed

Hello,
I have seen so many forums with the same issue but I am unsure why mine still happens. My playback is so high pitched and slowed at the same time. I've read many solutions on changing the hz of my device and also making sure playback is set to 1048. All of that is correct but it still is giving me horrible playback issues. I would like to resolve this quickly because I'd like to invest in some musehub sounds. It is worthless if the playback does not work. Thanks so much.
