Muse Sounds Drumline

I am having trouble writing dense rhythms using the Muse Sounds Drumline. This issue is present most noticeably on the snare sounds. Fast diddles sound just like a buzz, on individual or line sound flags. Does anyone have any fixes? I have tried messing with EQ to no avail.
