Musescore will click on every quaver (eighth note) if the tempo is slower than 180 quavers per minute. It will click on every dotted crotchet (dotted quarter note) if the tempo is 180 quavers per minute or faster.

If you want something different, the easiest way is to add a separate "click track" instrument - perhaps wood blocks. You can set that up to click in whatever way you want. Once you have one measure set up you can select it and press and hold keyboard shortcut R to fill the stave. You can then hide the stave as described here https://musescore.org/en/handbook/4/working-instruments#hide-a-staff. I found those instructions a bit unobvious but I hope this picture may help.
