Lute Arpeggio Arrow Bug?

• Sep 12, 2024 - 07:59

Hi there,

I started writing for a 6 string lute and stumbled across the wrong direction of the arrow. In Lute tabulature the lowest string is on top, the highest is placed at the bottom.

Kind regards, Norbert

Youi mean for lite an arpeggio up in the normal staff should result in an arpeggio down on the tab staff?
Seems to make sense, but doesn't seem to be coded that way, probably best request that on GitHub

" In Lute tabulature the lowest string is on top, the highest is placed at the bottom."

In Italian-Tab Staff, indeed, but it's the reverse in French-Tab staff (the most common)

Second point: as far I know (except if I forgotten something in this repertoire?), arpeggios were not written in this period on lute tablatures.
Nevertheless, of course, you are free to prefer to display them in a software.
