What's the simplest way to get started

• Sep 16, 2024 - 14:17

I want to use the midi from my piano to generate sheet music of my arrangements. I only have a Chromebook but am willing to buy a Mac mini or small Windows laptop if that's necessary. I see there is an Android app version of Musescore, does it have the ability to take a midi file and produce a pdf of the sheet music? I could run that on my Chromebook. If not, what's the simplest way to get musescore to run reliably on some platform? In the past I've configured audacity to run under linux on my Chromebook and it's a pain because the Linux container is a development project and requires too much fuss to keep going. I'm willing to spend some money to get something that installs and works without a lot of care and feeding.
tnx

As far as I know, the notation program Musescore is not usable on devices other than computers.

There seem to be fewer problems on Android computers.
