Attempting to get words out of a choral score.

• Sep 21, 2024 - 00:57

I have been attempting to learn Musescore but am very adept with Sibelius (30 years). Unfortunately not only do my Sibelius scores not play using the written words but I have been working on a score using Musescore and I still do not get pronunciation from the parts.
I have spent two weeks attempting to learn your program. I originally started your program to try and see
if it were possible to write a score for SSA or SATB with the singers actually speaking on the score.
I must say that I am very disappointed with your organization. I agreed to sample your programs, however, you turned around and charged me $206.99, which shocked me..
If you are able to write a score with the words being sung, then let me know how to go about doing
so. I have tried many attempts with no success. I await your response. At present, your program is certainly not better than Sibelius.

As far as I know, MuseScore 4 with Muse Sounds choir does not play spoken words. You will need the VOXOS Choir samples for that which is a separate purchase in the Muse Hub.

Musescore.org does not charge anything to use the MuseScore applications, which are free and open source. On the other hand, the score sharing site Musescore.com charges for its PRO subscription. Strange enough, I do not see a PRO tag on your Musescore.com profile: https://musescore.com/user/83118550 Did you purchase any sound fonts from the Muse Hub?

P.S. Just to be clear I am not staff, but another MuseScorer trying to help the community.
