correcting errors that appeared in the converted PDF
My PDF was successfully converted to a MusicXML file (I think). But the conversion resulted in key signature changes, tempo changes and spurious rests inserted at awkward places. How can I edit these errors away?

Converting from pdf uses Optical Music Recognition. Depending on the quality of the pdf you may get good or not so good results. It is often quicker to enter music from scratch rather than fixing the mish mash of errors that result from a not-so-good conversion.
Musesecore uses a web based implementation of Audiveris to convert from pdf. You may get better results if you download and install the full version of Audiveris. Other users have found that tweaking the various options available in the full versions improves the conversion.
