Adding tabulature to rock band partiture

Hi, I'm not fluent in reading notes so I prefer to write in tabs but when i change the instrument in rock band template to, for example, electic guitar (tabulature) it just doesn't change to it - it stays in normal note notation. Does anyone have any idea how to fix it?
