MIDI Keyboard Issues

I recently set up a MIDI keyboard to assist when writing but I'm having one particular issue. I'm writing for drumline, and when trying to use they keyboard for notes for Tenor Drums and Bass Drums, the keys that correspond to the lines of the staff do not match up. It seems like each drum is set for 2 notes of each octave (i.e. bass drums trigger with Db/Eb for drum/rim respectively.) How can I make it where the note on the keyboard I play inputs the correct corresponding note on the staff? I don't have any issues when inputting melodic instruments like marimba, but Tenor drums and Bass drums seem to have an issue.
