conundrum with musescore
I have been trying to transcribe this piece to musescore to play along to and practice, but am totally stuck - I cannot work out how to make the circled bar work.
As you can see its got the square brackets with a tiny 3 - which I think means its three crotchets I play at the speed of two.
I've tried using the 'triplets' button and add brackets but it doesnt let me add three crotchets, it forces me to add these three notes as quavers.
Any suggestions or ideas or even workarounds.
Thanks everyone!

This is caled a "triplet" and the general term is "tuplet". Here is the handbook chapter for how to do this.

The main thing to take away after reading that is that the triplet button divides whatever duration you have selected into 3 equal parts. So to get a triplet with 3 crotchets in the same duration as 1 minim, start by selecting a minim duration and then use CTRL+3 to divide it into a triplet of 3 crotchets.
