Playback sound quality
All of the sudden about a month or 2 ago, my playback sound quality across all instruments became really bad as if I installed a very early version of musescore. It sounds like a low quality music app and my musescore is fully updated so I don't know the issue.

Are you still able to select Muse Sounds within MuseScore Studio, or does it only allow for MS Basic from earlier Musescore versions?

I just looked to see what you were talking about and it turns out no I can't. On the mixer right? It only has the option for MS Basic for all instruments. I wonder if I should try deleting Musescore and Musescore studio to try and reset it but I hope that I won't lose my compositions / be able to edit them even though I saved it to the cloud.

Thank you for this, I had to download the new version of Musehub and redownload all the Muse sounds and then I changed the sounds from MS Basic to Muse Sounds on my score.
I have exactly the same issue. I logged it into the forum 10 days ago and so far, I have to say, I am disappointed not to have received any comments from either other users or customer service...

You are using Linux, right?
On my system, setting buffer size to something else (e.g. change 128 to 256) solves the problem. Until it is broken again and i have to reset it.

(MuseScore studio has no customer service)

Thanks for that! Buffer was already set at 1024...I changed it to 2048 and the problem seems to have beenm corrected...

I guess you're referring to https://musescore.org/en/node/370949
There's no customer support, just mere mortal users that are trying to help. Unpaid and at their discretion...
OTOH You got a reply to https://musescore.org/en/node/370805 which you didn't respond to.
You could also save the piece on cloud instead of uploading it from your computer, then publish it from cloud.

The problem is im still working on the piece and editing it but it sounds horrible to listen to bc of some issue.
Update: I've fixed the problem now, a few days- a week ago, musescore released a new version/makeover
of Musehub which meant the old one got deleted so I had to redownload all the new Musesounds. To actually implement them into your scores you have to go onto Mixer, click the three dots, playback setup and set Muse Sounds to be active. Then you have to individually change the sounds of the instruments to the new muse sounds ones on Mixer. Everything sounds perfect now, perhaps even better than ever.
