Clicking on "mixer" automatically closes the Musescore file

• Nov 19, 2024 - 22:24

Hello, I'm using version 4.3.3… of Musescore on my MacBook. A week or so ago I found that clicking on "mixer" immediately closes the file. Aside from not being able to alter instrumentation, I'm concerned this might be a larger problem that could lead to losing the file and the dozens of others that are essential. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Thank you. Does this mean that I am no longer able to change the instrument of a selected bar? This could hamper my work considerably. Is there any way around this significant issue?

As to the other issue your bring up – the width of the mixer – I followed the link and am not sure I understand what it is describing. Attached is a screenshot of the file I've been working with. Does the mixer appear as it should?

Another issue that is not as disruptive – yet annoying – is that the "playback setup" cannot be moved at all. I cannot drag it to the center of the screen so I can see all of it.

Again, I'm concerned these bugs might be an indicator of more serious failures in the future, and could compromise, or even destroy, the many Musescore files I am working on which are central to a large project.

I look forward to your reply.

I am having the same problem suddenly. I never had it before. I have as well version 4.3.3 on my Mac book. I cannot remember whether or not. if the problem suddenly appeared after installing 4.3..3

When I try to open the mixer (by F10 or by clicking on the word mixer, next to the word parts) the score immediately closes. If no other socre is also opened, then the muse score closes altogether. When I reopen muse score I get the comment "muse score has closed uddenly do you want to reore the file and when I click on yes it reopens, it plays but I cannot get to the mixer. I tried shutting the computer down and restarting, but this dfid not help at all.

I as I need to prepare some midi files for my choir, with separate files with one part louder and the others barely audible, I really need the mixer to do this properly. What can I do?
