Chord Playback

Suddenly, chord playback is not playing,check-marked to play in the "gear" settings. I have to uncheck it and then recheck it. This must be done every time I hit "Play." It does play single notes. The problem occurs with every file. I've never had this happen before. I heavily rely on chord playback to create lead sheets. Thanks for the help.
