Playback (response about this unusable program)
Sorry to post here, but the OP in question doesn’t want me to post in his new thread. Fine. I have some responses to his inaccurate claims. I may get to those. Or I may not. No one was helped by our exchange. My goal has always been to provide the best help I can. The OP and I failed to agree on what that might look like. I can’t help him with his shortcut problem because I don’t have problems with those. We never got to his saving problems. There can be problems with saving. I don’t have problems saving mostly because I don’t use the save button or save to the cloud. I was trying to find out about his violin problem. But couldn’t get straight answers. He will disagree.
My main point is that I have 4.4.3 running on 5 vastly different computers. All but one are under powered. Those are all W10. My W11 computer meets the specs and runs 4.4,3 the best. The others only have a slight stumble at the start of playback. The sound is fine otherwise. How did I get them to work? At first the sound and playback in general was terrible. But by checking all the settings listed in the HOW TO for sound problems, they started working better. It helped when I used an external audio device. Actually, MU4 has gotten better over the last few releases. Now I don’t need the external device at all. Not all the settings might make a difference. But you can’t skip checking any of them. You never know which one will work. I had one computer where nothing worked until the very last setting, which was to turn off Exclusive Mode. I also keep my computers cleaned out and don’t have 15 browser windows open. I’ve heard numerous times that some of these settings have helped someone. They don’t always work, but at least are a start.
The OP in question is more than welcome to post here and disagree with everything I’ve said. I don’t know how helpful that will be for people who read these threads looking for answers.

The OP in question was the rude one, not you. As they continue their rudeness (and they have, last I saw), fewer and fewer people will respond to them. Eventually, they will go away. Good riddance to bad rubbish.
Or they will figure out that honey works better than vinegar and will become a part of our community.
Did you post him the link on the "How To's" that you mention? If so, didn't they help at all?
I do recall from that thread that the OP seemed somewhat reluctant to answer simple, direct questions that were being asked for troubleshooting purposes.
No idea. I got the feeling he was looking for specific answers to specific problems. The How To doesn't work that way. It is just a series of things to check.
He complained no one answered his particular issues. He didn't understand we needed information from him. None of it is simple. I wish it was.
