Crescendos sometimes cause instruments to hold a note for too long
This only happens in Musescore 4.4.4. For example, in measure 44, the "and" of beat 1 in Viola holds for too long, bleeding into the next notes. This happens again in measure 44 in the "and" of beat 2. In other scores, I have only noticed this issue where there is a hairpin style crescendo.

Only with MS Basic. Works as expected with Muse Sounds.
Try this: delete the hairpin in measure 44 and reset it. Range select from the and of beat one, in measure 44, to the and of beat 2 in measure 45. Re-apply the hairpin. On my system the hold-over went away. What's the difference? Your hairpin started on beat one overlapping the dynamic marking. It seems hairpins need to be set in between markings.
