using several percussion instruments in one stave like most orchestral scores do
I have read about this option over the years on muse but it seems you cant switch back and forth nor does it really work for more than one instrument at a time. I may be wrong so im going to try it tonight doobie doobie doo!

MuseScore definitely supports multiple drums on one staff - it's called a "drum set". Even though the term might suggest something other than orchestra, the same technique can be used for orchestera. Add "drum set" as the instrument, then right click it and select "edit drum set" to customize what instruments you use - which sounds corresponding to which notes with which heads on which lines.
