Text Search and Replace

First, let me emphasize, I AM NOT A PROGRAMMER! But a simple Text Search and Replace has been a feature of almost every program that uses text. Even Finale has it!
I’m not sure why it can’t be added to MSS. I’ve seen a few plugins, but they either don’t work on lyric syllables or some other problem. All that’s required is one box for Search For, another box for Replace With, and an OK button.

Please (someone smarter than me) work on this!
