crash when changing note value
if i try to change the quarter basnote E in bar 43 to a half note MS(rev5702) crashes.
funny isn't it?

Yet another corrupted score and the usual fix works, Ctrl-Del the broken measure, add a new one, re-enter the notes
On 1.3 for Linux, it hangs for me. Either way not good. But it works fine in 2.0 Beta/Nightly. Probably that measure has become corrupt; you are best off deleting it and re-entering.

it almost definitely is corrupt, you see a rest missing in voice 2...

i would love to try 2.0 but, so far, i am just not smart enough to get it running.
I came so far that there is a cogwheel icon saying mscore on my desktop i cannot get it running...

As mentioned elsewhere, on Linux you pretty much need to build it yourself, following the compilation instructions here:
http://musescore.org/en/developers-handbook/compilation
(or adapting as necessary to your particular flavor of Linux)
