Glissando at end of repeat goes to beginning of next measure - what am I doing wrong?

• May 26, 2025 - 19:10

My song has multiple verses, stacked under the notes. I want a glissando leading into each verse. What's happening is that in a repeat, the glissando automatically goes from my desired starting note to the first note of the next measure -- not back to the beginning of the verse (the repeated section). This affects both notation and playback.

If the next measure is on the same staff as the glissando, I can edit the glissando so that it looks OK. If the next measure is on a different system, I can't.

In either case, the playback always plays that first note of the next measure as the first beat in the repeat.

I found similar forum topics, but both are from older revisions of Musescore or Musescore Studio. What am I doing wrong?

Musescore Studio 4.5.2.251141402, rev ac9d3bc
Mac Mini M1, Sequoia 15.5
Playback - I'm using the basic, default playback

thanks in advance for the help!
Janet
