🐞 Pressing . (dot) in Note Input Mode inserts diminuendo hairpin instead of dotted note

MuseScore Version: MuseScore Studio version (64-bit): 4.5.2-251141402, revision: ac9d3bc
Keyboard Layout: U.S. English (or specify if using a custom layout)

✅ Steps to Reproduce
Open a new or existing score.

Enter Note Input Mode by pressing N.

Select a note duration (e.g. quarter note) and input a pitch.

Press . (dot) key to apply a dot to the note.

❌ Expected Behavior
The selected note becomes dotted (e.g., a dotted quarter note).

❗️Actual Behavior
Instead of applying a dotted rhythm, MuseScore inserts a diminuendo hairpin in the score.

Hi, with Musescore 3.6.2. , you must click the dot (.) just after the duration (5+.) and ,after, write the pitch and it works .. If you have written a single quater note, by mistake, go out of note input, select the quater note, click the (.) your quater note becomes dotted and the rests are corrected . If I do like you : duration - pitch - dot , nothing arrives . I don't knox for the hairpin perhaps a shortcut you have enter.................
