Deleting dotted quarter results in a quarter rest

• Jan 8, 2010 - 04:48

When deleting a dotted Quater note (first note in the measure) the rest returns as a quarter rest and not a dotted quarter rest or a quarter + an 8th rest.
Example: delete the first A in the bass line in the third measure.
Results the note reverts to a quarter rest. If you continue and delete all the remaining notes, one at a time the measure is 1 8th note short of 4 beats.
