Adding vocal "instrument" does not get the correct key signature

• Dec 14, 2014 - 20:55

Mac OS X 10.10.1 Musescore NB 7a67e63

Perhaps I am wrong about this but...

I have a score with Alto Sax, Baritone Sax, two Trumpets, two trombones, piano, guitar, bass and drums. I went to Add -> Instruments... and selected Alto from Vocals and added it to my staff. The song is in concert Cm (three flats) which is the key signature that the guitar, piano, bass, and trombones have. The trumpets have one flat and the saxes have no flats or sharps (expected behavior). However the Alto part, which should be in concert pitch, also has no sharps or flats. It should have three flats.

Is this a known problem or regular Musescore behavior when adding a new instrument, and specifically a vocal part?

TAA!

Comments

In 1.3, newly added parts did not inherit the key signature(s) of the score, but in 2.0 builds, they should (and do when I try it with a score of my own). If you are seeing a case where they don't, please open an issue (easier way is Help / Report a bug, from within MsueScore) and attach the score you are having problems with and step hby step instructions to reproduce the problem.
