Hi -

I'm not sure if these have been reported, but when I open the drop down menus for certain functions on the LH side of the screen, the musical icons are either missing or out of whack. As an example, when I open the 'key signatures' menu, all key signature measures are blank. I can only find out which key signature I'm plugging in by hovering over it with my mouse; at that point, a window pops up telling me which key signature I'm pointing at with the cursor. I also am not able to add new (atypical) key signatures or other musical symbols to these palettes.

Any of the menus utilizing musical symbols seem to have these problems.

BTW, I'm using Windows 7 on a PC.

Hope this helps

My guess is the problem is that you have older incomaptible version of MuseScore's fonts and/or older versions of the palettes installed. The revert will sovle the second problem but not the first.

Adding to palettes is possible once you create a new worksapce using the "+" button below the palettes.

In the future, it is probably better to use the forum to report issues at first, until the details are narrowed down to the point where it is clearly a bug with good step by step instructions to reproduce.

Folks -

Thanks for the comments - much appreciated.

I've attached two screenshots which show the issues I mention in my first post. I also tried to reset the program back to factory settings as suggested; this didn't fix the problem.

As far as troubleshooting goes, here's what I did:

1) I had Musescore 1.3 installed on my computer already
2) I downloaded the beta version of Musescore 2.0 to my computer
3) I installed it as per the usual installation process
4) I opened the program and this is what I found at startup

Hope this helps! Keep up the good work!

I'm still guessing this is a font issue. If you go to your Control Panel and open Fonts, do you see any called MScore, MScore1, or Bravura? If so, that is your problem - these fonts should not be installed.

Cool! For the record, it wouldn't be a problem if the versions matched, but you must have had an older incompatible version. So it's best not to have any version installed - otherwise, you'll potentially have to manually update the font every time yiou update MuseScore.
