Trouble with transposing

• Jan 6, 2015 - 15:59

I had a chart in v 1.2/1.3 and I needed to transpose it to F so I opened it in Beta, did a select all and a transpose UP to F. It messed up with the Bb's putting accidentals on B's where it should not need to, and failing to natural them where they should be natural.

I attach the original score in C, Noting particularly the Bb's with accidentals in bar 3,9,13 etc which were transposed from F's in the original, they don't need flats since we have a Bb in the keysig. Annoying and incorrect musical notation but technically not wrong notes. Now you go to bar 18 which has F#'s in the original and so the B's should be natural. That is just plain wrong.

I don't have time to do the nightly build, I am just using the announced Beta version on Mac Mavericks.

I just tried in the current build and didn't have any problems. There *was* a bug involving transposing that was fixed recently (since the beta), but I don't think it would have affected this score anyhow, and the symptoms would have been different - there would have been no key signature at all, not a key signature but wrong accidentals.

So can you please post exact step by step instructions to reproduce the problem you are seeing? What I did was load the "C" version of the score, select all, Notes / Transpose, select "F", and hit OK. Everything worked fine as far as I can tell - measure 3 in particular had an Eb with a flat sign, a C# with a sharp sign, and a Bb with no explicit accidental, just as it should given the key signature; measure 18 has the B natural, etc.
