MuseScore software won't open
For several years, I've enjoyed using MuseScore for many projects for my piano students. The last few days, when I try to access the program, it will not open. I see the opening window for a second, and it disappears. The icon appears on my taskbar, but I cannot expand it. I tried downloading MuseScore 1.3 again, but that didn't help. My files are saved, but are of no use to me if I cannot open them. What should I do?

Have you tried rebooting? If that doesn't work, see Revert to factory settings and see if that helps.
Try running a factory reset on MuseScore as per http://musescore.org/en/handbook/revert-factory-settings (surprising though it may be, this is usually more effective than actually downloading the program afresh). If that doesn't fix the problem, do you have a crash log you could attach?

Thanks to each of you who replied so promptly. I did try rebooting, to no avail. I am working on the factory settings. Thanks for your ideas.
Thank you all for your help and recommendations. I was able to revert to factory settings, and that solved the issues.
