mscore doesn't start on Debian-Lenny
Hi,
I used mscore from debian-Lenny- repos and it worked fine. Now I try to start mscore and I get the following error:
/usr/bin/mscore: line 9: list: command not found
Using JACK for audio
fluidsynth: warning: Failed to pin the sample data to RAM; swapping is possible.
Portaudio open stream -1 failed: Invalid device
no audio output found
no audio driver
sequencer init failed
/usr/bin/mscore: line 27: 9095 Speicherzugriffsfehler $MSCORE "$@"
It's 0.9.2 from Debian. There were no changes to the system since the last start. Mscore worked on KDE 3.5.10.
Is there any help for me?

MuseScore 0.9.2 is quite old. Could you try the latest stable release instead (instructions are on the download page of this website). From what I understand sound setup for the Debian/Ubuntu versions of MuseScore is better in 0.9.5 and later.

Hi David,
thanks for your response. I tried it but there are dependicies to Debian Testing. But I prefer to use stable.
Due to the error messages, can you see where the problem is? Mscore 0.9.2 did run!

Version 0.9.5 was released August 2009. I understand that Debian Lenny was released in January 2010 so I don't think there would be any dependency problems.
I suppose you could try the old instructions, but you'll probably have problems again when you eventually upgrade.

On the downloadpage you can read: "Only Sid has an up-to-date package". If I try to install the 0.9.5 I get

Sorry for german output of dpkg, but currently I don't know how to switch the language to english.
But my problem is: I installed mscore from the repos and it worked. But since a few days it works not. Any hints?
