Ruler and grid

• Mar 31, 2010 - 22:27

Musescore is a grafical program that's why I think that is extremely useful to have a ruler (inches and centimeters) and a grid.
Hope to find this important function in Musescore 0.9.6 or soon as possbile.

If we want to have a perfect layout we need a grid (ON/OFF), a ruler (with otpion to insert some mark) and could be great also to have a guideline (X/Y) on the mouse pointer.

Today in contemporary music we use non common layout, sometime we need to set staff on the page in a special order and without a grid is really hard to do.
If we want to print with Musescore an exercize or a book I think that we will spend a lot of time to allign text and staff.

Please see the attached file.

Thank you for your answer.

Of course Align All/Frames will be a great function, expecially if combined with a grid and a ruler.
Do you think that could be possible to insert a ruler on the borderline (2 sides) of the page? (like in grafic programs or text editor such as OpenOffice.Org).
With the function that you mentioned (Align) could perfect also to have just a fix ruler, a sort of picture.
Thank you for your anwer.
