In other words, moving the reverb or chorus dials in the mixer make no difference to the actual amount of reverb/chorus heard. There is a default amount of reverb applied whatever the dial setting and no chorus whatsoever.
Is this a soundcard issue? MuseScore version is the latest, 2.0.1.

It is the result of the changes to MuseScore's sound architecture implemented in MuseScore 2.....

These changes have meant that the current effects bus is implemented as an insert across the main audio outputs, and consequently effects sends to FluidSynth are ignored.
They do work if you are using JACK for MIDI/audio output and using external VSTi's to generate sound, but not with the internal synth.
I believe Werner is currently working on making the new effect bus available on a channel basis. When this is complete, presumably effects send from the mixer will again work, but you will need clarification from the development team that this will be the case.
