Realtime recording of midi playing?
I just started with this program and like it, but how do you play a midi keyboard in realtime? While I am recording as I play the notes pile up on each other in one bar?

You can't do that. Midi keyboard ca be used to enter the pitches. See : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rxy3IEUFxJM
What you need is a sequencer program. With the sequencer you can record in real time and then export to a midi file.
The midi file can then be imported to MuseScore.
