Greek translation for 0.9.6

• May 31, 2010 - 08:40

I have notice by trying the RC1 of 0.9.6 that the qm file of the Greek translation is out of date!
Please use for the final release of 0.9.6 the qm file from the translation section of musescore which is here: http://translate.musescore.org/translate/languages/el/download

The Greek translation is 100% ready

Best regards!

0.9.6RC1 used the file available on the translation server at the time it has been released.
Could you give an example of a non translated string?

Hi Jiannis,

Thanks for this notification. When the final release will be made, the translations will be checked out from the translation server. So Greek will be up to date!

The release is planned for this week.

Hi Jiannis,

Now that we are close to make the final release, I was checking the Greek translation. I checked the RC1 qm file against the one from the translation server. I could not notice any difference. Can you tell me which string (as example) was updated in after the RC1?

Thanks
Thomas

Dear Tomas,

I have tried the windows version of the RC and there was a few strings witch wasnt translated (The Grace notes and Breaks & spacers in the Palette for example). I have changed the qm file with a “fresh”downloaded qm file and everything was ok!

Dear people,
Unfortunately i have notice that the .deb package of the 0.9.6 and 0.9.6.2 still have an outdated Greek translation file!
I am wandering if there is any way to fix this problem?

Is it possible to consider by the translators names for the Greek translation also Loukas Ksanthos by the release notes of the v.1.00 of Musescore?
He is actually the one who began to translate Musescore in Greek before the Ionian University.

The Greek Translators are:

Panagiotis Vlangopoulos, Assistant Professor of the Music Department of the Ionian University
Ioannis Toulis, Assistant Professor of the Music Department of the Ionian University
Petros Andriotis, Adjunct Teacher of the Music Department of the Ionian University
Niki Stavrati, Master Degree Student of the Music Department of the Ionian University
Loukas Ksanthos
