dB in Musescore 2.0
I wonder how recording works in the best way, specially how dB works.
I'm creating a full arrangement with violins, brass, drums etc.
There is a db-meter in the synth. and also in Mixer on every instrument, voice etc.
My intention is to make a recording with a leading voice, and one without, for karaoke.
How can I make the right settings?
Do I have to first set the volume (dB) in Mixer, or in Synth. and more,at what level?
And are my settings without voices different from the one with voices?

From within MuseScore, if you want to 'record' - which actually means to 'export into an audio format' - a version with, and one without, a lead voice:
1. Create your score and set all mixer settings to your liking when played back.
2. Export (and save) as audio - e.g. wav, or mp3, or flac...
3. In the MuseScore mixer, check the 'Mute' button on the lead voice.
4. Export this version also as audio, but with a different file name from the audio file generated in step 2.
MuseScore will 'record', and the muted voice will not be heard on the 'recording'.

Thank you for this tip, but it doesn't answer my question about the settings of the volume (dB) in Sync. and Mixer. Is there a start-setting in the Sync., or is it a combination of this two?

In synthesizer you can set the general volume and save it for the single score or as default (slightly move the cursor to display the options);
In mixer you can set the volume of the individual items, if you save the score them are retained.
Substantially "work together".

you know, I always thought it had to do with the in-coming signal, so to say with the recording-level, which always had to be a certain number of dB's to avoid clipping.
But it's just about volume, and how loud I want it to sound.
