Stem, Flag and Head

If I accidentally grab the stem or flag (separating them from the note head), it's ruined really (namely if you wanted to flip the note).

Can they be inseparable?

Just wondering what you are trying to achieve by grabbing on the note like that? Are you attempting to change pitch? If you are attempting to change pitch I think the easiest way is just to click on the notehead and use the arrows on your computer keyboard. Not sure if they can be made inseparable or not but it might be that there is an easier way so you can achieve what you would like without having this problem.

This is a problem in 1.0 and 2.0 nightly build (4095):

1. Drag-select a set of quavers (or indeed a single note).
2. Whilst holding down Apple (or equivalent), click on the head and drag it down (or up).

Expected result: The notes move accordingly with the stem.
Actual result: The stems are detached from the note head and beam (image ).

Using Mac 10.4.11.

I've not tried this before as I typically don't need to move more than one note simultaneously but it is an interesting bug and how all three elements detach and move at different rates.

I question the need to _move_ the stem at all. I've done it myself when I've accidentally gotten too close to my tablet trackpad while doing something else and moved a note stem to somewhere that I couldn't find it. The beams are fixed until double-clicked, so should the note stem. I can see adjusting the height of a note stem, esp with a flag, but never detaching the stem from the note head.
