mscz is too old?

• Jun 6, 2015 - 21:37

I am trying to get a piece on musescore.org but it says it needs to be Muse Score 2.0. It is 2.0 in-fact, it was made in 2.0. So I tried to upload a different piece, that was converted from 1.3 to 2.0, and it uploaded without a problem.
Piece that won't work:
Pomp_and_Circumstance.mscz

Piece that worked
Fate Of The Gods.mscz

MuseScore.org?
Fate Of The Gods seems filled with 1.3;
Won't work: maybe it takes longer to load?
Maybe you should use contact us

Pomp and Circustance was not saved with 2.0 according to the info in the file - it was saved with what appears to be an experimental nightly build of the upcoming 2.0.2 release.

You could try saving as MSCX (File / Save As, choose from drop down) then using a text editor to edit the file and change the version string. This might not work if you actually use any of the new features / things that have changed since 2.0.

Meanwhile, though, we'll probably need some plan for how to deal with this. The theory is that 2.0.2 scores should still load in 2.0. Reality is currently otherwise.

Pomp_and_Circumstance.mscz is not created with MuseScore 2.0. It's created with a very old nightly build. MuseScore.com only accepts file created with MuseScore 1.3 or MuseScore 2.0.
Please uninstall this old nightly version and install a proper version of MuseScore 2.0.
