Playback Problems

Sorry but I'm having a little trouble. I don't know very many technical terms so I apologize if this is confusing or vague. Thank you for any help:

I'm using the most recent download of Musescore: 0.9.6. I had previously used 0.9.5 with the soundfont TimGM6mb.sf2. During playback in 0.9.5 the sound was similar enough to the .wav output that I didn't have to constantly export the file to see how it sounded.
During playback with 0.9.6 each note ends abruptly with no trail off and is therefore drastically different from the playback sound in 0.9.5. The exported file, however, is the same quality in both versions (0.9.5 and 0.9.6 exported .wav's sound basically the same). This seems to be a problem in playback and the exporting is perfectly fine.

I checked the settings for the Synthesizer in 0.9.6 and the I/0 menu in 0.9.5.
The 0.9.6 version I'm using is pointing to the same soundfont as my 0.9.5 version is (TimGM6mb.sf2) and is also pointing to the exact same file. The settings in the preferences menu are the same between both versions as well. I tried changing the volume, the chorus, and the reverb in the Synthesizer menu as well as altering settings in the mixer but this didn't fix the problem.

Are there some settings I'm missing, is this a bug or is it by design?

Sounds like you want to increase the reverb in 0.9.6. There are a few places to look for this. In Display > Synthesizer there are both some horizontal sliders for reverb as well as a vertical slider. In Display > Mixer there is reverb dials for each mixer.

Well I tried increasing and decreasing it before but it seems like it DOES have something to do with the reverb settings: when I adjust room size, width etc it seems to get better. I feel kinda silly for missing those horizontal sliders. I guess I just have to go back and forth till I get them to sound the same. Thanks for the help.
