[Solved] Temporary Extra files

• Jun 10, 2015 - 22:21

Hi, Gang!!!

I discovered that MuseScore left some ".*.mscz," temporary extra files into the last used files directory.

I though that unselecting the "Automatic Saving" option (Preferences Menu) would fix it, but it didn't.

Is there a way to avoid this? ???

Thanks a lot for your time!!!

God bless you all!!!!!!!

Juan

They are backups created when you first save changes to a file; it's separate from the timed autosave. They can't be disabled, but they should be hidden by default on most systems. BTW, disabling the autosave, while possible, is a bad idea. This is how MuseScore recovers you're score in the event of a crash. The autosaved files go into a special folder and are automatically cleaned up in successful close. The is no downside to leaving this enabled, but a huge risk in disabling it.
