Expanded staff tools for next muse score release
For the next release, you all should include an explode/implode tool that combines/expands voices. Also, some tempo markings (such as ritardando, presto, etc). Also, for the lines that require more measures, such as crescendo, trill lines, A start/end measure selection should be included.

Variations and extensions of explode/implode are often requested, so you're not alone. As to the tempo markings, you can create them yourself by simply editing a regular tempo text and setting its properties in the Inspector. I'm not sure what you mean about the lines—if you double-click a line to put it into edit mode, select one of the handles at the ends and press Shift+Left/Right, it will extend note by note (for things like hairpins) or measure by measure (for voltas).
The implode tool *does* do voices. The explode tool does not, but it's easy to do it manually via copy/paste and voice selection.
You can add any tempo markings you like to your palette - see the Handbook under "Custom palette".
For crescendo, you can already select the range you want it to apply to before pressing the shortcut "<" or double clicking the palette icon. And trill lines already determine the proper length based on the note they are attached to, even if tied across measures.
