One voice splitting into two notes
I am transcribing a fiddle part that involves several double stops. I need to be able to have a single voice split into two notes at the end of a measure. When I use two separate voices for the whole phrase, I run into messy problems involving stem directions, rests and beams. Is there a way to keep the line to a single voice until the very moment it splits into two notes?

Use rests in voice two for the first part of the measure. Then hide the rests and correct any stem directions as needed. For details see voices , "Hidden spacer rests".
