distance between staves

Hi,
I want to ask you how can I increase distance between staves?
I have not enough space for text.

Thank You.

Confused! Perhaps I don't understand the terminology (is there a simple graphic which shows this, please?).

Please excuse my simplistic terminology, but I'm trying to explain what it is I need to do. My piece has two "instruments" = vocal and guitar, each written on one stave. So each 'line' of music consists of two staves: Vocal (on top) and Guitar (bottom). I'm trying to increase the distance between adjacent 'lines' so that there is a greater distance between the bottom of the guitar stave of each line with the top of the vocal stave of the line below*. Is this the "Great stave distance"? And is the distance between the vocal stave and the guitar stave in each 'line' the "Stave distance"? I've tried increasing both these, and nothing happens. How do I do this, please?

* Part of the reason I want to do this is because I like the the chord symbols to be positioned beneath the guitar stave (I move them there manually, individually - can this positioning be set automatically?), and they are very close to the top of the vocal stave on the line below.

BTW, what are the units (sp) used here?

Many thanks

Thanks. I tried that, but I couldn't even understand the instructions! But I've now found the setting I want - it's the "Max. system distance". "System" is obviously the correct term for what I was calling "line" in my previous post. Is there anywhere a glossary of accurately defined terms? I think that this is half the problem for me.

"sp" = "spatium" = the size of a staff space (the distance between two staff lines). It is the basic unit of measurement for virtually everything in MuseScore, so that things scale as necessary should you wish to increase or decrease the overall size of the music.

To change the default position of chord symbols, see Style / General / Chord Symbols.
