"unshare" shared noteheads
Hello!
I put two voices in a measure that both play the same notes. So musescore automatically made shared noteheads. But I would like to see both voices note by note, so is there a way to "unshare" the shared noteheads?

nope, no cigar. a quarter note in voice 1 beat 1 and another quarter in voice 2 beat one do share the notehead.

You can manually nudge them apart, double click and use the arrow keys, or select note head, modify chord offset in inspector.

Yes, I tried to do it manually, and could move notehead and stem away from the other notes of the first voice, but the beam does not move. I made photos of what I did:
shared_notehead_original: That writing must be typed in
shared_notehead_computer_beginning: My starting point for the moving, two voices share the same notes.
shared_notehead_computer_end: After the moving all note heads are separated, all stems are separated, but the beam does not move and remains on its original position.
Any solution for this?

By double-clicking each note and using the arrow keys to move the notes, then fine-tuning the spacing using the chord offset in the inspector (just as Jojo explained earlier).
N.B. You need to deselect the notes after moving with the arrow keys (e.g. click in whitespace) before you can see the note positions update on screen. It's possible you moved some things around inadvertently before doing that, which could have caused the problems you were seeing.

Depending on your reason for wanting to see separate noteheads (estandard practice calls for noteheads to be shared if the rhythms match and there are stems), you could also consider not using separate voices but instead adding two notes notes of the same pitch in the same voice. These unisons will always be shown with separate noteheads
BTW, notes can be moved in either of two ways:
1) double click note, use arrows to move, stem will follow automatically when you are done
or
2) click note, use the "Chord" section of the Inspector (not the "Element" section) to change the horizontal offset. By using the "Chord" section you are telling MuseScore to move the stem and everything. Otherwise only the notehead moves.
The second approach is the one to use when trying to move a whole chord as well as just a
single note; the first approach only works for single notes. At least, the stem-moving -automatically part only works for single notes.

Great, that works! Thanks a lot! One minor additional question: The noteheads in my measure are pretty close. After the moving of the first voice all noteheads are in a row without any space between them. How can I expand the span from note to note in a specific measure?

It's almsot always easier to help if you attach the actual score, not just a picture of it. Depending on the specifics of what is going on, you could try the "Leading space" in the Inspector for the note, or increasing stretch for measure, or other possibilities depending on what exactly is happening.

Sorry, I somehow misunderstood. That's normal, expected behaviour though, isn't it? As JoJo, says, you can always nudge them apart if you really need to.
