Change Instrument
I would like to see this feature added to Measure Properties as it is in Staff Properties.
This way, if you have an instrument change on the same staff you could select the measures and change the instrument.
If there is a simpler way to do this, I can't find it.

It appears my post was misleading. In two ways: 1. I wasn't specific enough and 2. I misunderstood the purpose of Change Instrument in the Staff Properties.
If I have a Piano "C" score and I want to change the four measure Intro to Flugelhorn with a 2 sharp Key Signature, how is this done?
I've been able to do the above but I can't get the Flugelhorn to "play back" in "C" Concert Pitch.

I'm a bit confused. You are literally expecting a piano player to switch to Flugelhorn for the intro, then to piano after that? Seems more likely you really have separate Fluegelhorn and piano staves and just want to hdie the empty piano staff for the first sytem. Tht's doable via Hide Empty Staves.
In case for some reaosn you do actuall y want a single part that changes from piano to Flugelhorn - virutally unheard of - this is not currently supported directly. But there are a number of workarounds to achieve this result. Good one Marc. No, I just want the Intro to be played by the horn player. See my post below.
In the attached score, you can see I have been able go get it "almost" done by Hiding Empty Measures. The only issue now is getting a Courtesy Key Signature at the end of the staff.
Need help on that one or a different method.

Well, a courtesy signature doesn't really make sense, since the key signature is not actually changing, but I can see why you might want one here. Really, it's going to be pretty unclear without actually showing both staves for the introduction. But if you're trying to save space, you'll have to play a little trick to get it to look the way you describe: make the actual key signature of the trumpet staff change to C (concert Bb) after the first four bars. To change the key just for one particular piano staff, Ctrl+drag the key signature to the staff.
Or, just don't worry about playback, and use the piano staff for the intro and have it actually be in D. But really, the standard way to do this would be to simply produce separate concert and Bb versions of the chart, each with all the notes in teh correct key for that version.

Well, I got it to look the way I wanted. See attached. But after some thought, I think it to confusing. Inserting courtesy key signature after the last measure of the intro would possibly mean the flugelhorn would change to "C". Not good. I took two of your suggestions. On was to have a two stave system for the intro the other for the horn. Decided, that too, was confusing and would require two pages.. Opted for complete score sheets for each instrument. Thanks for the input.

I think that's the right decision. But is there a reaosn you left the actual melody (after the melody) & all the chords (both for the intro and melody) in the original key? Seems it would have made sense to transpose that as well, in case the flugelhorn player wants to play along after the intro. I would have done this with just a single staff, everything all in the same key.

The arrangement is actually a vocal. The horn will only play the Intro and "B" at the Segno. We've talked about some horn solo work but the horn player isn't crazy playing in 2 sharps (fickle). We might do a turnaround up a half step or minor third to appease him.
