soundfont

Hallo
I have written music with synthesizer Fluid R3Mono_GM.sf3.
After that, I have installed on top of synth SF generalUser MuseScore v1.442.
Question 1: If i now burn this music on CD, will the sound still be determines by the Fluid-font ?
Question 2: If YES on first question: Can I do something to give this music the General-sound ?
Best wishes, Per K.

You can't burn a CD directly from within MuseScore so you will have to go to File -> Export and choose WAV (.wav). You can then use a different program to burn these files to a CD (but make sure you are creating a "Music CD" and not a "Data CD" if you want to be able to listen to it in a CD player).

You can select the soundfont from View -> Synthesizer. Have a go at exporting a WAV file using both soundfonts to make sure that you are using the right one.

Basically, export a WAV file and listen to it. You should be able to tell which soundfont was used just by listening. Export another WAV file using the other soundfont if you are unsure.

I think that you should select the sounds you wanted in the Mixer from General User GS and then click the "Save to Score" button on the Synthesiser page.

This will ensure that the audio file is generated from the sounds you specified in the mixer, and not the default FluidR3Mono sounds.
