Wait for prerelease to test?

Hello everybody :)
(skip to the last paragraph if you want the short version)
After being frustrated with Finale and not having a convenient Sibelius for my current computer, a friend of mine gave me MuseScore. So I started to use it, as it was an easy transition. Recently, my parents and I wrote a musical, and I notated all of the music using MuseScore. In doing so, I made a list of possible bugs and improvements, but in general, if I couldn't do something one way, I could usually find a way around it, which was great. And I think it's awesome that it's free.

And I am totally up for helping to improve it. I may get into some of the code myself, but for now I think I'll go with some bug reports and feature requests.
I was actually writing a bug report about a crash I found, that I didn't see reported yet, but then when I downloaded the nightly build, I found that the program works in a way that avoids the step creating the crash completely. So much for that.

So, while I could go looking into my list of other bugs and improvements and such, I think I might just wait for the next stable or pre-release, as obviously a lot of things are in the process of changing. But I was wondering if there's any kind of estimate for when that's happening? Seems like maybe soon, as it's been about 2 months. Should I just go ahead testing my list on the nightly builds?

Thanks for the great program!

We are heading towards a prerelease of the current trunk but unfortunately, as this is mostly with open source projects, there is no deadline. The more bug reports are filed for the nightly builds, the faster development can go and the quicker the prerelease will come around. So, feel free to post all your findings in the issue tracker. Welcome on board!
